Interventions for children and adolescents under 18 will only be administered with documented parental consent. Depending on the case’s complexity and potential legal implications, parental presence may be required, and parents may be directed to consult with local specialists .

Mental health issues manifest differently in children compared to adults. While adolescents may exhibit some adult-like symptoms, their expression of distress often varies significantly. The following signs and symptoms may indicate a child's need for mental health support

Recent-onset (within a few weeks) changes in the child's mood and behavior, including persistent low mood, irritability, excessive fear, social withdrawal, defiant behavior, school refusal, decline in self-care, anhedonia, appetite changes, increased interpersonal conflict, sleep disturbances, and nightmares, warrant further evaluation. 

Sudden academic decline or shifts in behavior, such as diminished interest in previous activities, neglect of responsibilities (chores, hygiene), increased social isolation or excessive peer involvement, and disregard for schedules (lateness, punctuality) 

If a child frequently complains of aches and pains like headaches or abdominal pain, and no medical cause is found.

If your child, who was previously able to stay dry during the day and night, starts wetting their clothes or the bed again. 

New abnormal behaviors that disrupt personal care, social interaction, or academic performance, regardless of child complaints, warrant attention. 

If a child exhibits excessive aggression, abuse, bullying, lying, and stealing 

A child experiencing low self-esteem and a negative self-concept 

If the child exhibits heightened anxiety regarding social fairness and peer acceptance 

If the child presents with signs of social communication difficulties, such as reduced interaction, inconsistent eye contact, and a tendency to isolate themselves

Given the challenges of providing comprehensive care online, we require you to have a pre-established emergency safety plan. This plan should involve readily available local support, such as your GP, a psychiatrist, a hospital, or a designated support person, to ensure your safety in critical situations.
